Various: A Night in the Museum
“See anything, Shadow Girl,” whispered JunJitsu.
“Nope, nothing,” replied Shadow Girl, scanning the dark room. “But with all these exhibits, who knows where the perp’s hiding.”
The two heroines slowly worked their way through the museum looking for the cause of the triggered silent alarm. When the two of them, plus Leopard Girl and Blackout arrived on the scene, they found the building still locked, but the guards were missing. After Shadow Girl teleported them inside, they’d chosen to split up into two groups to try and find the infiltrator more quickly. JunJitsu chose to go with Shadow Girl, since Shadow Girl could see in the dark, while Blackout went with Leopard Girl, whose enhanced senses would be a complementary skill.
As JunJitsu and Shadow Girl rounded the caveman exhibit, Shadow Girl caught some movement to the left. She quickly tapped JunJitsu on the shoulder and pointed.
“Okay,” said JunJitsu, “I’ll try a direct approach, while you teleport in from behind whoever’s there. If it’s too much for me to handle, hit them from behind.”
Shadow Girl nodded and stepped sideways in to the Shadow Dimension.
Quickly, JunJitsu darted towards where the movement happened and caught the outline of a female figure.
“Stop!” she ordered.
The woman stiffened and turned around to face her. “Well, this is unexpected,” she said.
Seeing Shadow Girl materialize behind the woman, JunJitsu asked, “I don’t suppose you’ll come along quietly?”
“I’m afraid I don’t have time for that sort of thing,” answered the woman, assuming a fighting stance.
JunJitsu leapt into the air, twisting her body to deliver a stunning roundhouse kick, but a split-second before she connected, the woman turned to a cloud of mist, and JunJitsu’s foot passed right through it and catching Shadow Girl with a glancing, but still powerful blow, knocking her out instantly.
In the few seconds it took JunJitsu to realize what had happened, the woman reassumed physical form and grabbed JunJitsu in a tight chokehold. The blood already draining from her head, JunJitsu slammed her foot against the woman’s knee, trying to get her to break the hold, but instead she tightened her grip more, causing JunJitsu’s eyes to roll upward as she slipped into unconsciousness.
Looking around the room, the woman muttered, “You heroines seem to recover more quickly than normal people, so we’ll have to ensure you stay out of my way. I’ll probably have to deal with your friends on the other side of the museum, too.”
Over in the modern art section, Blackout and Leopard Girl moved between the various sculptures quietly. Leopard Girl had caught a strange scent, something that resembled human, but just smelled… wrong somehow.
Keeping her analysis to herself, she directed Blackout towards the historical exhibits. Whatever was in here that shouldn’t be was in that direction.
The pair quietly crept past the dinosaur bones and saw a woman standing over the unmoving figures of Shadow Girl and JunJitsu.
“Hold it!” shouted Blackout, as she fired a force beam towards the woman.
The woman spun, and with superhuman speed stepped out of the way of the blast.
“What the…?” muttered a surprised Blackout.
Before she could finish her sentence, the woman had already closed the distance between them, and grabbed Blackout by the throat with one hand, lifting her into the air. Leopard Girl leapt at the woman, but a quick backhand sent her crashing into a glass display cabinet. Blackout looked down in horror at the woman, who was smiling evilly, and Blackout could clearly see the bloodstains around her mouth.
She tried to maneuver her staff around for another blast, but the woman’s grip on her windpipe slowed her down and the woman just knocked it away with her free hand. It wasn’t two seconds before Blackout joined Shadow Girl and JunJitsu in the realm of unconsciousness.
Dazed, Leopard Girl tried to shake off the blow as she got back up to her feet. Seeing the woman drop the limp form of Blackout, her animal rage began to boil. A deep, guttural growl came from her throat, and the woman turned to face her.
Dropping to all fours, Leopard Girl tensed up, ready to pounce. The woman smiled again and said, “Hmm… This could be fun.” She, too, dropped to all fours, and Leopard Girl watched in amazement as her features tightened, shifted, and began sprouting fur. Where the woman once stood, there was now a human-sized black wolf with glowing red eyes.
The both of them shot forward, teeth and claws bared for battle, but Leopard Girl quickly found herself outmatched both in strength and ferocity due to her dual nature, and soon found herself on the bottom with the wolf’s jaws clamped down on her throat. Realizing she was defeated, she rolled her head to the side and relaxed in visible surrender.
The wolf loosened her grip, and shifted back into human form. “I was expecting a better fight than that,” muttered the woman before she delivered a right cross to Leopard Girl’s jaw. Returning to her feet, the woman shook her head as she looked at the four prone heroines. “Disappointing, indeed…”
Shadow Girl awoke, initially confused by her Native American surroundings. After a few seconds, she remembered the museum and the strange woman she and JunJitsu tried to fight. She shifted, but found herself pinned in a sitting position at the base of a totem pole. Duct tape was wrapped around her wrists and the pole so they were immobilized over her head. Several more rounds held her waist also against the pole, while her knees and ankles were also taped together. She tried to cry out for help, but more tape covered her mouth. She tried to shift the totem pole, but it had been apparently carved out of a heavy tree, and wasn’t budging.
Sighing in helplessness, she twisted around as much as she could and began wriggling her wrists in an attempt to get them free.
Leopard Girl thrashed against the heavy wooden pillory she found herself in. The three-inch thick wood wasn’t budging, though, and her claws did her no good in getting the tape off her face when they were held a foot or more away from her head. She could feel her legs bound in several places behind her, and no amount of kicking or pulling did any good in dislodging her from the medieval restraint.
Suddenly, she caught another scent, one all-too-familiar and potentially more dangerous than the creature she’d just fought. The hairs on her back and neck stood up in fear, and she wondered if this already bad situation was about to get worse.
Waking from a horrible nightmare involving a woman with glowing eyes and fangs, Blackout’s eyes shot open hoping to find herself safe in her bed. Instead she found herself kneeling at the base of a Civil War-era cannon, her arms wrapped around the wheel and duct tape completely covering her fisted hands all the way to her wrist. More tape was wrapped over her thighs and ankles, preventing her from standing up, or even shifting too much, lest she fall over. She tried calling out to her staff, but more tape had been wrapped over her mouth and around her head, silencing her almost completely.
She tried scraping the tape off her face, but her balled hands were useless in getting anything resembling a grip on the tape. She sighed heavily and began rubbing her taped hands against the cannon wheel, hoping it would eventually fray so she could escape.
JunJitsu came to and knew she was in trouble. She was strapped into an early 20th-Century electric chair, and the woman had decided to reinforce the bondage with duct tape applied at other various locations on her arms, legs, and torso. Even her head was practically immobile as the heavy leather strap used to keep doomed inmates from biting their tongues pinned her head against the back of the chair.
She tried shifting her body weight, but the chair was either too heavy, or it was bolted to the floor and wouldn’t budge. Her fingers were still free, but until she figured out some way to move her arms, her hands were useless.
Leopard Girl’s gaze shot to her right and she stared at the empty space, a low growl rumbling in her throat.
Imperator shifted back into visible mode and laughed slightly. “There’s no fooling you, is there?”
Leopard Girl writhed frantically as Imperator began to walk towards her.
“Oh, relax,” said Imperator. “First of all, I doubt your struggling is going to do you any good. Secondly, I’m not going to lay a hand on you.”
Imperator knelt down near Leopard Girl’s head, being careful to stay far enough away from her slashing claws, and began to whisper in her ear. “You know, this wouldn’t have to keep happening to you. In fact, I can help you in a lot of different ways, starting with making you more human.”
Leopard Girl’s eyes widened.
“That’s right,” Imperator continued. “I can use my knowledge of genetics, and finish what Eugenix started. If you want, I can give you a more human appearance while still retaining your powers. In fact, I might even be able to boost them in some respects. Think about it for a moment — no more fighting between your human and animal sides, no more sticking out in public, no more ostracizing by your peers. The only catch, as it were, is that you’d have to work for me.”
Leopard Girl thought of her friends, how they’d rescued her from Eugenix, and everything she and the HOTTIEs had worked for up until this point. She also remembered, however, all of the captivity and deathtraps she’d been put in as a result, as well as the way people looked at her on the street and how she never felt comfortable in any human social gathering. Her friends loved her, though. There wasn’t any way she could betray them, could she?
She shook her head no.
“Hmm… That’s unfortunate,” replied Imperator. Perhaps you just need some time to consider things a little more.” He recited off a phone number. “I’ll let you think about it for a while, especially since it seems you’re not going to be doing much else for the next few hours. If you ever change your mind, call that number, and we can discuss things further.”
Imperator stood up and walked out of the room, leaving the confused and helpless human-leopard hybrid to her thoughts.
The woman tossed aside the various displays in the Mesopotamian area, until she found the rune-covered box she was looking for. As she lifted it in the air, she was startled by a voice from behind.
“Lilith, baby, how’s it going?”
The woman spun around, staring at Imperator with fangs bared. She froze for a second, studying him.
“Gaius?” she asked.
“Actually, it’s Imperator now,” he replied. “I thought these folks nowadays would have a hard time believing Caligula was back, so I simply created a new identity.”
The woman relaxed slightly. “It’s funny you say that, as I’m going by ‘Eden Darque’ now for much the same reason. You look surprisingly well for someone who spent two thousand years in Hell.”
“There’s a long story behind that, and one I don’t feel like going into right now. ‘Eden Darque’, eh? Trying to seduce the goth kiddies, are you?”
“Precisely,” Eden answered. “It’s astounding how these vampire wannabe fools will just volunteer their blood for my consumption believing I’m going to make them just like me. The world really has gotten stupider, hasn’t it?”
Imperator stifled a laugh. “Same old arrogant Lilith. Then again, you’ve been around a few thousand years longer than I have, so maybe you have a point.”
Not appreciating Imperator’s crack on her age, Eden’s eyes narrowed. “Enough small talk. Why are you here?” she asked.
“Curiosity, mostly,” Imperator replied. “I intercepted the heroines’ transmission, and when they said there was no obvious forced entry, I thought there might be another teleporter in the area, so I thought I’d better check it out. I’m betting you just turned into mist and came in through the vents, though.”
Eden nodded.
“Anyway,” Imperator continued, “I did check out your handiwork on those lovely ladies. I didn’t peg you as one for duct tape, though.”
“It was the only thing I could find down in the storage room where I drained the guards,” Eden answered, getting impatient.
“So what do you have there?” wondered Imperator.
Eden shifted the box to her side to protect it. “Nothing of your concern. Let’s just say the idiots in charge of this museum didn’t know what they actually had in their possession, and unless you speak ancient Mesopotamian, it’s utterly worthless to you.”
Imperator frowned, “You might be surprised about the things I know, or at least what I ‘m capable of figuring out.”
Eden dropped into a fighting stance. “Unless you wish to return to Hell, you will let me leave with my treasure.”
Imperator raised his hands. “I’m not here to fight you. While your confidence in the outcome may be misplaced, a battle between us would ultimately cost more than the potential rewards. Just remember, this will ultimately be my world, so if we cross paths, I might not be so accommodating next time.”
Eden dropped her guard slightly, saying, “I’m sure we will meet again in the future, but for now let us go our separate ways. I remember your tastes, so you can amuse yourself with the four weaklings. I’m still satiated from the guards.”
“Fair enough,” agreed Imperator. “Oh, Eden…?”
“Yes?”
“You still have one of the greatest asses I’ve ever seen,” Imperator chided with a wink.
Eden grunted in disgust and stormed out of the room.
“Yet still a bitch…” Imperator mumbled. He rubbed his hands together and cracked his knuckles. “Oh well, let’s see if I can amuse these heroines a bit before I go.”
“You ladies are lucky I’ve got some other things to do tonight,” Imperator boasted.
The heroines didn’t feel so lucky, however. Imperator had fitted them all in matching steel-belted straitjackets and metal bit gags, shoving a vibrator up each of their rectums before fastening the crotch strap, holding it in place.
“I’m sure one of the other HOTTIEs will be along shortly to check on you ladies, so just enjoy this in the meantime.” He then gave Leopard Girl a knowing look. “It doesn’t have to be this way, you know.”
Imperator opened a portal, waved good-bye, and left, leaving the quartet to suffer in their involuntary anal stimulation, and Leopard Girl with a lot on her mind.
