HISTORY: Kimi Suzuki was a brilliant computer programmer, as well as an avid mountaineer and spelunker. During one such outing, she fell into an unmarked cave. There she was confronted by a spirit who offered her a choice — pass a series of tests, or die from starvation and exposure. Not one to give up, Kimi accepted the challeges of the spirit, which tested her both physically and mentally.
      Passing all the challenges, she was confronted by one of the ancient gods who bestowed on her superhuman powers and a knowledge of hand-to-hand combat. Kimi was then instructed to do good deeds for justice, and not for reward. To enforce this requirement, she would be completely vulnerable to anything made of gold.
      Almost immediately after returning to the surface, she prevented the theft of one of the U.S. military's newest armored vehicles. She was approached by the general in charge and made an unofficial member of the NSA, where she would work undercover awaiting tasks suited to her special abilities.
      On one such assignment, she met Starr and agreed to work along side her in fighting crimes that standard law enforcement wouldn't be able to handle.
